AIM: We aim to attract as many readers as possible, especially to ensure that the magazine appeals to the youth of today
CONTENT: We invite the community to submit articles that are thought-provoking, content-driven and written in both Gujarati and English. Whilst it is acceptable to use the internet and other sources for ideas, please try to submit original writing or in the event that you are submitting another author’s work, please give credit where it is due.
The magazine size will be printed in A4 size – Therefore we request the submission of half-page (maximum 180 words) or full-page (maximum 400 words) articles.

Article Topics
The Magazine editorial team has selected the following topics/suggestions for this year’s magazine as we wish to see these content areas particularly covered:
- Religion/Culture/History of Lohana/Spirituality/Philosophy
- Health/Fitness/Nutrition/Medical Advice
- Family/Parenting/Relationships (not limited to romantic relationships)
- Lifestyle –a general and fun topic whereby community members are free to explore sub-topics such as Travel &
- Leisure, A Day in the Life of, DIY/crafts, homemaking, fashion, recipes (traditional and modern), career and education, etc.
- Illustrations/drawings – The Magazine editorial team invites children from ages 9-15 years to make illustrations/drawings/sketches which will be selected and placed appropriately throughout the Souvenir Magazine.
- These illustrations can depict anything to do with sports and culture
Souvenir Magazine Article Rules & Regulations – TO BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED
Article/Essay/Letter/Illustration submissions should be emailed to sameer@uniprintltd.com along with the full name, age and center of the author/illustrator.
Articles can be written either in Gujarati or English. Please submit Gujarati articles typed up in the Gujarati script.
Articles should be a maximum one full A4 page, or a minimum half A4 page.
A full page article should contain a maximum of 400 words, a half page article should be 180 words.
Articles should be submitted along with related pictures as attachments.
Articles should have a short, catchy title that reflects the rest of the content.
Articles will be printed on a selection basis depending on the number of entries received.
Articles are subject to editing.
All articles should be submitted in the format of Word Document Version (2003 or later).
Articles should be written bearing in mind the selected categories/topics.
We highly encourage authors to submit original, thoughtful and thought-provoking content that we can enjoy as a community.
Plagiarism is forbidden, however if you do choose to partially or fully reproduce content please ensure that the source and name of the original author is stated.
Articles should not reflect any form of misrepresentation, disrespect or indecency.
Articles received after the deadline of 15th November 2024 will NOT be considered.
Souvenir Magazine Advertising Details
Adverts should be submitted according to the following standard sizes:
Full page A4 | 210 x 297 mm | 8.3 x 11.7 in (also applies to Back Page and Front and Back Inlay Pages)
Half page A5 (horizontally) | 148 x 210 mm | 5.8 x 8.3 in
Quarter page A6 (vertically) | 148 x 105 mm | 5.8 x 4.1 in
All adverts should contain bleed of 3mm after the above specification.
All adverts should be in PDF format and be submitted with high-resolution pictures where applicable.

Back page: US$ 1300 (1 submission)
Front Inlay page: US$ 1000 (1 submission)
Back Inlay page: US$ 800 (1 submission)
Full-page Ads: US$ 500 (approximately 12 submissions)
Half-page Ads: US$ 250 (approximately 20 submissions)
Quarter page Ads: US$ 125 (approximately 32 submissions)

EVENT / INFORMATION BOOKLET
Details:
A small pocket-size booklet will also be printed containing handy information for festival participants and community members.
This booklet is handed out if sponsored. All those who want to sponsor the booklet, contact the Souvenir Magazine Convener Sameer Somaia immediately

Sports & Events Timetable, Food Menu, Venue Information, Tourist Information, Emergency Contacts etc.
Specification:
Size: A5
Number of copies: 1000
Estimated Number of Pages: 16
Booklet arrangement: 12 pages of information and 4 pages of adverts.
Specs: The entire booklet will be printed on 115gsm paper, in black and white ink (perhaps the adverts will be in color) and the booklet will be staple bound.
All 3 centers will be given an equal opportunity to place an advert in the booklet.
