- Six a Side Cricket Tournament
• Played on a single-inning basis
• Each team to consist of 6 (six) players and 2 (two) reserves
• 6 balls per over
– in the 5-over game- no bowler will bowl more than one over.
– in the 10-over game, no bowler will bowl more than 2 overs.
– in the 15-over game, no bowler will bowl more than 3 overs.
– If there are 2 centers participating, then a 12-over game will be played like a final
– If there are 3 participating centers then a 10 over the game on a round robin will be played, then the top 2 teams will play a final of 10 overs.
– If there are more than 3 participating centers, then a 5 overs game will be played between all centers with semifinals and finals to be played of 5 overs each.
• Minimum age will be 12 and over and this will be as one category now.
• The bowler should only be allowed five steps whilst bowling.
• A batsman scoring 15 (fifteen) runs automatically retires. A retired
batsman is eligible to come back only after all the wickets have fallen. No
batsman will be allowed to score more than 15 (fifteen) runs but if at the
14th run – a ‘Four’ OR ‘Six’ is hit it should count in the score. The team’s total
score shall be interpreted similarly.
• A special award will be given for the highest number of sixes.
• A batsman is automatically out if he fails to score a run on the third
consecutive ball, If on the 3rd ball, runs are scored through byes, no ball or
wide ball, these will be counted towards the score and the batsman can
continue.
• Teams (if 5 (five) or more) divided into 2 (two) groups
• Teams in each group play round robin tournament
• By winning the team gets one (1) point
• In case of a tie, the team, which will have lost the least number of wickets, will
be the winner. In case of a further tie, a replay consisting of two overs will be
played to determine the winner.
• Red cricket hardball to be used, but should be a used ball and not brand new.
